Bright yellow flowers burst out of the darkness in this work, almost like a sunbreak in a storm. Painted from bright cut flowers in the very earliest days of spring in February at Cafe Vita on Seattle’s, Capitol Hill. The sun yellows of the flowers bring sunshine into the space and are a reminder in any weather of the sun behind the clouds.
